A Thrilling Visit

Y5 and Y6 had a fantastic end to the half term when they went down to Totley Library to meet children's author Jon Mayhew. Jon told us about his books, written in the gothic horror style, which have received rave reviews over the past year or so. He let us know about what inspires him to write and the books and films which influenced him as he grew up. As well as reading an extract from his book, Mortlock, Jon challenged us to solve a series of riddles to test whether or not we could outsmart any of his demons. Those who passed the test received a signed poster! So thank you Jon and Totley Library for a brilliant afternoon.
